Mold Inspection
If you believe your residential/commercial/industrial building may have a mold problem, it is a good idea to hire a mold inspection company to send out a mold inspector to do a full inspection.
**When hiring a mold inspector, it is important to hire a company that only does inspections and NOT removal. Be sure to hire a certified mold inspector and check if they are required to be licensed by the state. Either way, the inspector should be able to provide you with his credentials.
If you can visually see a mold problem, chances are that is only the tip of the iceberg. A qualified mold inspector should be able to identify just how bad the problem is and check areas for mold that you have not even thought about. Mold inspectors use air measurement tools, moisture meters, and thermal imaging cameras and develop a plan for testing the building.
Completing a remediation prior to an inspection is a bad idea because if you do not completely get rid of the mold problem, chances are it will re-generate and come back… sometimes even stronger than before.
After the inspection is complete, a mold inspector will present a plan for Mold Testing to acquire the most accurate information about the air quality inside the home and determine if elevated mold levels are present or not,
